Music That's Been Making It's Rounds

Diddy Dirty Money - Ass On The Floor

Colin Tilley definitely drew inspiration from the Chanel A/W fashion show with items fromt he collection and a similar icy theme being applied here. Yo you see this joint yeah, fuckin mental mate lol.... Diddy may be an ass at times but he knows how to drop a hot club joint.

Fabolous - You Be Killin' Em

I can't lie, I'm not a fan of this video.... The joint is dope but the video just seems abit 'bleh'. Everyone on Twitter has been enjoying it especially cos Amber Rose heavily features in the visual as the leading lady lol.

Jamie Foxx - Fall For Your Type Feat. Drake

I actually like the concept for this video, what I love most about this song is that you can hear Drake's sound evolving even though it's Jamie's joint, Drake's songwriting skills are improving and that whole 'spacey' sound is still there. This is a great leading single for Jamie Foxx's forthcoming album, Best Night of My Life.

So building onto my review on Chipmunk's international joint with US Superstar Chris Brown, here is the final joint but it's not mastered as only the radio rip has surfaced.... the difference is Breezy's verse which adds that mesh that I was initially looking for in the joint. I won't lie and say I'm not looking forward to the video, this'll probably one of the most anticipated visuals from a UK rapper.... We'll see if they deliver

Chipmunk - Champion (Feat. Chris Brown)

Dr. Dre - Kush Feat. Akon and Snoop Dogg

You see Dre yeah, he has always kept it straight G. Now, we all know how long we've been waiting for this Detox project, but it looks like it will be due to be released anytime soon and Kush is a sweet single to lead this album, especially with the rise of the blazin' personas within hip hop notably I gotta mention young Wiz Khalifa. I think he should be on the remix... don't you think ?

Tinie Tempah - Invincible Feat. Kelly Rowland

Y'all already know I fucks with Tinie, he's one of the best UK acts around right now and currently making that smooth crossover into the US market also as I've seen his stuff on WorldStarHipHop and the late OnSmash (R.I.P) lol. Peep his latest visual for the track Invincible from his no.1 album Disc-Overy.

Music Video: Yasmin - On My Own

Check out some more UK Talent this young songstress goes by her birth name 'Yasmin' and has been featured on smash hits like Devlin's 'Runaway' joint. Now gearing up for her own solo album, peep her first single 'On My Own'. I gotta say, I love the whole upbeat vibe of the track and the video reinforces the notion that 'simple is beautiful'.

Chipmunk X Chris Brown - Champion

UK Rapper Chipmunk collaborates with US Superstar Chris Brown for his latest joint titled 'Champion'. The track features Chip rapping on the verses and Chris vocalling the chorus. To be honest, there's not much that is special about this track apart from the international collaboration behind it... The formula was pretty basic and it doesn't even sound like they were in the studio together for this. However this is a great look for the UK Music Scene and shows we're getting that worldwide recognition now.... Salute Chipmunk for this.

Adidas We Are London

Adidas have teamed up with London's rising musicians for their latest campaign respectively titled 'We Are London'. The campaign which will be unveiled more as time goes the by, features artists such as Devlin, Loick Essien, Bashy, Scorcher, Maxsta and SBTV presenter Georgia.

Peep the first official trailer below....

Also, check out interviews with each individual artist alongside the UK youth broadcaster SBTV under the cut....

Music Video: Bigz - Starman

Everyone knows I fucks with Bigz music so I had to blog this as soon as the video surfaced on YouTube. If you don't know Bigz then just YouTube the dude and you'll catch him dropping hot fire in freestyles or his trademark slogan catchy joints like 'Flygerian' and 'Cor Blimey' a native of Nigeria just like me so you know it's all love.

I can see the concept of the video very clearly in this, with the whole green theme to symbolise he is not of this world whilst constantly dropping his lyrical flow over the beat. You can catch his affiliates in the video also with guys like SAS making cameos. I like the video in general, some bits I would've tweaked but unlike some net releases I can actually see it on being aired on television with the sweet quality.

If you liked what you heard you can download his mixtape which is titled 'Starman EP' now !

Introducing...... Jessie J

If it weren't for bloggers like MitchandSuave and RWD Mag's latest issue, I wouldn't be as clued up as I am on Jessie J. She is a very talented singer and songwriter from my side of the pond, hailing from Essex. She has been dubbed one of the biggest acts to watch out for in the upcoming year by many media outlets, currently signed to Island and Lava Records, she has quite a few acolades already as she co wrote Miley Cyrus's 'Party In The USA' , she's also written for Chris Brown, Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake who titled her as 'the best singer in the world right now'. With titles like that she's bound to work on her own material and here is her first official single 'Do it Like A Dude'.

The video is edgy with rock chic all over, when I was going through the YouTube comments I realised everyone was making comparisons to her style as a mix between Lady GaGa, Rihanna and Nicki Minaj. I can see why people would make that comparison but it seems she is still an artist with her own identity, also it would be safe to say that if she's being compared to the best female artists around right now then this can't be a bad thing.

Whatchu think of Jessie J ?

Music Video: Professor Green - Jungle

Check out Professor Green's latest video 'Jungle' which features my hood Manor House and Stamford Hill in London. It's funny watching all my guys doing cameos lol.... Very G.O.O.D quality though.

Introducing Nuria Afonso...

Today, I have the pleasure of introducing a very cool friend of mine, Nuria Afonso. A singer hailing from East London and at the age of 17, she's been working hard to perfect her craft in music. She recently dropped a hot remix for Mr. West's 'Runaway' and I felt y'all should hear it.

Homegrown Talent

So it's been a hot minute since I blogged some homegrown UK talent and I love to support my fellow up and comers so here are two rappers from the UK whom I personally know and support.

Formerly known as Switchey, the rebirth that is now known as Magnus is a rapper from North London, who I went school with, from young he's always been rapping and has persevered over quite a few years now to this point. Here's his video cover for the song 'Who Dat - J.Cole' , I know he's quite a big fan of Mr. Cole and from what he's been tweeting he was actually pressured to go and record this freestyle by his mother who is arguebly the biggest supporter of his career choice.

Follow him on Twitter @SwitcheyCarter

Here is a young'in from North London also who goes by the name of Reptar. A winner of the Shank The Film Competition, this is his debut mixtape to the world with freestyles over songs like 'Hello.... Goodmorning' to his own produced tracks. This guy put all the work in himself with no help from anyone else, and I like the fact he's creating this buzz all on his own.

Skepta & Diddy Dirty Money - Hello Good Morning Grime Remix

The long awaited Grime remix to Diddy Dirty Money's joint 'Hello Goodmorning' has finally surfed. The first peak us viewers got was through Logan Sama's show on Kiss 100. Which was also recorded for us to watch live again.

I can't lie, I was not impressed with the UK Remix but the Grime Remix is much much better and I hope they plan on making a video for it.

N Dubz - Let Me Be Ft. Nivo - Music Video

If you live in the UK you'll have been watching the 'Being N Dubz' documentary that's been airing. If you're fairly new to N Dubz then I suggest you do a YouTube search as they have songs that have been played over 10million times on there, they are a double platinum selling band with over 1.5 million album sales down here in the UK. Furthermore, they just signed a deal with DefJam in the US and they are reportedly working on their new album in Los Angeles.

YES THEY ARE KINDA LIKE A BIG DEAL

Peep their new music video which will be released in Greece, sounds like a summer time anthem for the Greeks with a homegrown act by the name of Nivo to keep it cool. Don't know if it'll be as successful down in the UK but we'll just have to see.

More Fun

I told y'all, I aim to give more UK artists exposure on the blog and less US orientated. If you remember a short while ago, I blogged Chipmunk the rapper from London with quite a few accolades under his belt at the age of only 19. Well, I got some good feedback from y'all overseas on any new stuff he's got coming out and I promised I would blog his upcoming mixtape in collaboration with London MC Wretch 32.
I haven't actually had time to listen to the whole tape but a few reviews have been quite mixed so I'll leave it to the readers to give a verdict on whatchu think....

Plan B - Prayin - Music Video

More talent from the UK, and this musician comes to you by the name of Plan B. Now this artist has delved into many roles such as an actor for critically acclaimed movies like Adulthood and is also a rapper (the role he was first introduced to me as). Now since making that transition from rapper into a more 'mainstream' singer, I gotta say I'm feeeeling his new sh*t.

My boy is always going on about him telling me to take a peep but as I said in my previous post due to my iPod storage problems, I've been unable to get new material on my iPod to actually meditate on. Now taking away from that, this is a musician who's music you should definitely buy. His soft melody alongside upbeat backing tracks with the brilliant aesthetics in his video ensure you stay glued to the screen, sorta like Thriller, (as I use that term very loosely at this point of time in his career)

Take a peep at his new music video and tell me whatchu think ?
